Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
